This blackout curtain panel is made from 100% polyester triple-weave fabric. The construction consists of a front decorative layer, a middle black yarn layer, and a back coating layer. The fabric weight is 220 grams per square meter. Each panel measures 52 inches wide by 84 inches long (132 x 213 cm). The header features eight brushed nickel grommets with an inner diameter of 1.6 inches (4 cm), compatible with standard curtain rods up to 1.5 inches in diameter. The grommets are evenly spaced and reinforced to prevent tearing. The fabric is rated to block 85% to 90% of incoming light when fully closed, based on internal testing under standard indoor lighting conditions. The remaining light leakage occurs mainly around the edges and through the grommet holes. The fabric also provides thermal insulation by reducing heat transfer through windows. In summer, it can lower indoor temperature rise; in winter, it reduces heat loss. The specific energy savings depend on window size, climate, and installation. The curtain is not completely soundproof, but the dense weave reduces outside noise by a small amount (approximately 10–15% perceived reduction). The fabric has been treated with a water-repellent finish that causes light rain or splashes to bead and roll off. However, the curtain is not waterproof and should not be exposed to heavy rain or submerged. The color offered is charcoal gray, with a plain matte surface and no patterns. The reverse side is solid white. The fabric contains no formaldehyde or heavy metals according to the supplier’s test report (OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified). Care instructions: machine wash cold on gentle cycle, do not bleach, tumble dry low, iron on low if needed. Do not dry clean as solvents may damage the coating. The package includes one single panel. For standard windows, two panels are recommended for full coverage. The product is designed for indoor use only, on windows in bedrooms, nurseries, or home theaters. The maximum rod pocket/grommet weight capacity is determined by the rod, not the curtain. The curtain itself weighs 2.2 lbs (1.0 kg) per panel. No assembly required; simply slide onto rod.
